Repository Policy
The Journal of Applied Mathematics and Modelling (JAMM) is committed to fostering open science and broad dissemination of research by allowing authors to archive their work in any institutional repository, subject repository, or preprint server. In alignment with Sherpa Romeo’s guidelines, JAMM permits the deposition of preprints, post-prints (accepted manuscripts), and published versions of articles by the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) License.
1. Preprint Policy (Author’s Original Manuscript – AOM)
Authors are encouraged to share the preprint version (the version peer review) in recognized preprint archives and repositories, including but not limited to:
- arXiv, SSRN, HAL, ResearchGate, Academia.edu, OSF Preprints, and institutional repositories.
- Personal websites or academic social networking sites.
✅ Authors must indicate that the manuscript is under review at JAMM (if applicable).
✅ Once published, authors are encouraged to update the preprint with a citation and DOI linking to the final published version in JAMM.
2. Postprint Policy (Accepted Manuscript – AM)
JAMM allows authors to archive their manuscript's peer-reviewed, accepted version in any repository without embargo. The accepted manuscript may be deposited in the following:
- Institutional repositories (e.g., university archives, library repositories).
- Subject-based repositories (e.g., MathSciNet, RePEc, EpiPreprints, bioRxiv, ChemRxiv, etc.).
- Funding agency repositories (as required by grant policies).
✅ The archived postprint must include a statement acknowledging its acceptance in JAMM and a link to the final published version.
✅ Example: "This is the peer-reviewed, accepted version of the manuscript published in the Journal of Applied Mathematics and Modelling (JAMM). The final published version is available at [DOI link]."
3. Published Version Policy (Version of Record – VoR)
JAMM fully supports the immediate and unrestricted sharing of the final, published version (PDF with journal formatting). Authors may deposit the Version of Record (VoR) in:
- Institutional and subject repositories.
- Preprint servers and public archives.
- Personal websites and academic social media platforms.
✅ The published article must include proper citation, journal name, and DOI linking to the original publication on JAMM’s website.
4. Licensing and Attribution
All deposited versions (preprint, postprint, and published) must comply with the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) License, which allows:
✔Unrestricted distribution and adaptation with proper attribution.
✔Reuse for educational and research purposes, including commercial use.
✔Retention of copyright by the authors.
5. Compliance with Open Access Mandates
JAMM aligns with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) and complies with funder mandates requiring open access to research outputs. The journal is fully indexed and preserved in PKP PN and Portico, ensuring permanent accessibility.
