Archiving and Preservation

The Journal of Applied Mathematics and Modelling (JAMM) is committed to the long-term preservation and accessibility of all published content. JAMM employs trusted digital archiving solutions that safeguard against data loss, system failures, or unforeseen circumstances to ensure that research remains permanently available to scholars, practitioners, and the public.

1. Digital Preservation and Archiving Systems

JAMM utilizes two highly reliable archiving services:

PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) – Ensuring decentralized, distributed preservation of journal content across multiple locations, preventing data loss.

Portico – A globally recognized digital preservation service that guarantees the long-term survival of scholarly literature by securely archiving content and providing access in case of journal discontinuation.

These archiving solutions ensure that all articles remain permanently retrievable, even during technical failures or if the journal ceases publication.

2. Self-Archiving Policy

JAMM encourages authors to self-archive their published articles to enhance accessibility further. Authors are permitted to:

  • Deposit the preprint, accepted manuscript, or published version in institutional repositories, preprint servers, or personal websites.
  • Share their work on academic platforms such as ResearchGate, arXiv, and SSRN.
  • Use and distribute their article under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0) License, ensuring proper citation of the original publication.

3. Indexing and Persistent Identifiers

To enhance discoverability and citation tracking, JAMM assigns each article a Digital Object Identifier (DOI), ensuring:

Permanent access via DOI-based linking.

Indexing in reputable academic databases to maintain visibility and academic impact.

Compatibility with major research repositories and open-access initiatives.

4. Compliance with Open Science Standards

JAMM aligns with international best practices in scholarly publishing by adhering to:

  • Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) for unrestricted access to scientific research.
  • Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines for responsible digital archiving and ethical publishing.

By implementing PKP PN and Portico, JAMM guarantees that published research remains accessible, citable, and secure for future generations, reinforcing its commitment to open science and academic integrity.
