Author Guidelines
Agrivolution is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to publishing high-quality research in agrotechnology and innovation. To maintain scientific rigor and publishing integrity, all authors must adhere to the following guidelines before submitting their manuscripts.
1. Manuscript Categories
We accept original, high-impact research that contributes to advancements in agricultural technology and innovation. The journal publishes:
- Original Research Articles – Comprehensive studies presenting novel findings.
- Review Articles – Critical, systematic reviews summarizing recent advancements.
- Short Communications – Concise reports on significant research developments.
- Perspectives & Opinions – Thought-provoking discussions on emerging trends in agrotechnology.
Each submission must provide significant scientific contributions, supported by rigorous methodology, clear data interpretation, and technological relevance.
2. Language & Writing Style
- All manuscripts must be written in English (American spelling).
- The writing should be clear, concise, and professional, following standard scientific terminology and technical accuracy.
- Non-native English speakers are encouraged to use language editing services before submission.
3. Manuscript Formatting
3.1 General Formatting
- Use Microsoft Word (DOCX) or LaTeX for submission.
- Page size: A4 with 1-inch margins on all sides.
- Font: Times New Roman, size 12.
- Line spacing: 1.5 throughout the manuscript.
- Use continuous line numbering for easy reference during review.
3.2 Manuscript Structure
All submissions must follow the IMRAD format:
- Title Page
- Full manuscript title (concise and informative).
- Author names (First name, Middle initial(s), Last name).
- Institutional affiliations for each author.
- Corresponding author’s email address and ORCID ID.
- Abstract (250 words max)
- A structured abstract including:
- Background (study rationale).
- Methods (key methodologies).
- Results (main findings).
- Conclusion (research significance).
- Avoid citations in the abstract.
- Keywords (4-6 terms)
- Provide keywords relevant to the study for indexing purposes.
- Introduction
- Present the research problem, background, and objectives.
- Clearly state the hypothesis or research question.
- Materials & Methods
- Describe the experimental design, materials, and methodology in detail.
- Ensure reproducibility by including statistical analyses and software tools used.
- Studies involving human or animal subjects must include ethical approval statements.
- Results
- Present findings logically and concisely.
- Use tables, graphs, and figures where appropriate.
- Avoid interpretation of results in this section.
- Discussion
- Explain the significance of findings and compare them with existing literature.
- Highlight novel contributions and practical implications.
- Address limitations and future research directions.
- Conclusion
- Summarize key takeaways in a clear and concise manner.
- Avoid redundancy with the discussion section.
- Acknowledgments (Optional)
- Mention contributors, funding sources, or institutional support.
- Conflict of Interest Statement
- Authors must declare any conflicts of interest related to funding, affiliations, or personal relationships.
- References
- Follow APA (7th edition)
- Cite only relevant and recent sources.
- References must be listed in alphabetical order and formatted as follows:
- Journal article:

- Figures & Tables
- Figures must be in high resolution (300 dpi minimum).
- Tables should be editable (not images) and self-explanatory.
- Number all tables and figures consecutively and refer to them in the text.
4. Ethical & Plagiarism Policy
- Agrivolution follows COPE Core Practices for ethical publishing.
- Manuscripts are screened with Turnitin, with a maximum similarity threshold of 30%.
- Plagiarism, duplicate submission, or data fabrication will result in immediate rejection and institutional notification.
5. Submission Guidelines
- Manuscripts must be submitted via the journal’s online submission system.
- All submissions must include:
- Cover letter (addressing the editor and summarizing the research’s significance).
- Main manuscript file (in Word or LaTeX).
- Figures/tables (if applicable).
6. Peer Review Process
- Agrivolution follows a double-blind peer review process:
- Authors’ identities remain anonymous to reviewers, and vice versa.
- Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent experts.
- The review process takes approximately 6-8 weeks.
- Editorial decisions:
- Accept (with or without minor revisions).
- Major revisions required (resubmission needed).
- Reject (with constructive feedback).
Authors must respond to reviewer comments in a structured rebuttal letter when submitting revised manuscripts.
7. Open Access & Copyright Policy
- Agrivolution follows the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) and is fully open access.
- Published articles are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0), allowing unrestricted sharing and reuse with proper attribution.
- Authors retain full copyright of their work.
8. Article Processing Charges (APC)
- Agrivolution does not charge any fees for submission, processing, or publication.
9. Data Availability & Supplementary Materials
- Authors are encouraged to provide raw data, code, or supplementary files to promote research transparency.
- If datasets are publicly available, include a Data Availability Statement with repository links.
10. Post-Publication Policies
- Authors can self-archive preprints, postprints, and published versions in any repository or preprint server.
- The journal supports post-publication discussions, corrections, and retractions, following COPE guidelines.
Final Notes
By submitting to Agrivolution, authors confirm that:
- Their manuscript is original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.
- All authors approve the final manuscript and agree to ethical publishing practices.
